Will Thomas - A/V (album)
AV (Audio Visual) was an extraordinary event held over the weekend of May 1/2/3, 2026 showcasing artworks by twelve artists local to the Ojai Valley and installed indoors and outdoors at a private residential property. Presented by Black Barn Sessions in collaboration with the Ojai Music Festival, the show highlighted the intersection of visual art and sound. I worked with each artist to create a custom audio composition that was played through speakers alongside the installation.
We decided to release all the sound elements as an album. It’s somewhat of an untraditional format considering the pieces were composed and arranged such that the viewer of each piece would typically hear just a portion of each track. More specifically, not necessarily hearing it from the beginning or the entire piece.
More info on the artists, the process, and the concepts behind each piece are detailed on the event page HERE.
